Many people are aware of using a Call-to-Action (CTA) on landing pages, ads or other content. This CTA can take the form of a button or link or even just a reminder to take some type of action following the marketing piece. How to Use a CTA on Pinterest
Pinterest doesn’t allow us to use an active link on pins other than the pin itself. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t put a CTA in the pin description. According to Brandon Gaille, pins that have a CTA increase engagement by 80%! That statistic makes adding a CTA a totally worthwhile experiment.
To add your CTA, put it in the description or if you want it can even be in the image itself. Here is an example of a pin with a CTA in the description.
